I-70 Landslide  Impedes Travelers

Around midnight, Sunday, March 7, 2010, a landslide in the middle of the Glenwood Canyon rendered a 17-mile stretch of I-70 out of commission. Both East and West-bound lanes of the highway have been damaged by the landslide and thru-traffic will be prohibited indefinitely. In response to the landslide, the pros and cons of an alternate route are being discussed.
